Short description of the project:
This project is realized as the continuation of the project “Modernisation of railway section 40 a Kelenföld (kiz) – Százhalombatta (kiz) and related facilities”. Homlok Zrt. is carrying out the reconstruction of Iváncsa stop in the year 2019.
With the modernisation of the line section, the complete Kelenföld-Százhalombatta-Pusztaszabolcs railway line is reconstructed, including reconstruction of the overhead power supply system, and this way, the track will be suitable for transport with a speed of 120/160 km/h and an axle load of 225 kN.
At the moment, Iváncsa is a station with 5 tracks, which, as part of the project, is turned into a stop, according to the passenger traffic and needs of the station.
At the stop, besides the two new main tracks running along the station, a high platform will be constructed for the convenience and safety of the passengers. The two platforms can be approached through a new, accessible platform underpass.
In order to prevent traffic disturbances, at the starting point side of the stop, a right-hand and a left-hand track connection will be constructed, with large-radius bypasses. An advantage of these bypasses is that they ensure a higher-speed passing through both in the straight and the bypass direction, thus increasing the throughput of the stop.
The complete projects is realized using financial assets of the European Union and with the sponsoring of the Hungarian State, as part of the Integrated Transport Operational Program and the tender system of the Connecting Europe Facility.
